I fell heir to a very battered but perfectly working iPod. I've been spending time figuring out how it works (yay for downloadable manuals) and transferring lots and lots of music onto it. I have about 2,500 songs and spoken word items on it, and have used up maybe 1/16th of its capacity. It's been worth the time, because now I have many old favorites and new favorites close at hand and can work along to a fine supply of music that I like. I'm back working on January now, though, and enjoying it much. Having the music device has made the direction change a little, in ways I really like.
Just realized people are actually reading my blog! I have answered your kind comments there, finally, and I will pay more attention now.

I wonder in what ways your beading will be influenced by your music???!!!! You know, paint-to-music excercises? I usually bead with no music... maybe I should try and iPod?!
OHHH i love new toys. I got an Ipod touch for chistmas and have downloaded some games on it. I get very easily distracted playing with it. I have found a quilting app that shows blocks and the required fabric needed to make the block in different sizes...
I usually bead with the TV on... I'll see how many changes music can make. It's an iPod classic, so few games (and I don't take time to play them, anyway, since I know a potential addiction when I see one), and I'm pretty sure it doesn't download apps, and if it does, I'm surely doomed to distraction with all the cool stuff out there.
Enjoy your music! I love my ipod. It got me listening to music after over 20 years of silence. I still like silence but I enjoy the music too. It really helped to be able to load music I liked onto it.
