January and February done!

Hello,

I am not much of a blogger, twitter, facebooker... but this time I thought I would let you know that I have just finished my February page today. I have ideas for March but not decided yet.

I also want to thank you all for all your posts and your links to your blogs. I am overwhelmed by the quality and variety of beading pages I have seen and I am learning so much from you all.

When April comes and we can upload pictures of our pages, I will post my pages you can be sure of it!

No March Yet...

I've been dealing with some very dire events (again!) in my life and the lives of friends. You can check my blog, but I warn you that it is a little grim this month. I was just starting out my page when events all started to happen, and I think it's direction may change as a result -- or not. The beads will tell me what to do. I think that someone gave me that old Chinese curse that I have interesting times. I am wishing very much for some boring times about now.

March going up

On my blog site today. It was a journey in and of itself. I titled it seperation, but I think it's a lot more than that. I'll explain on my blog. So if you have a moment, stop by and see it. I think it turned out well. warm wishes to all

I just put my April page up on my blog.  It is for my wedding anniversary that is the 19th of April.  These doing this project has been a God send for me.  I have remembered events and such that I had forgotten.  It makes me feel so much closer to my beloved each time I make a new one or look at the ones I have already made.  I had 8 pages completed by the end of January.

I am really enjoying looking at everyone else's pages.  They are all so different and yet so powerful.

January Done at Last!

I finally have something to share. Talk about being slow but I like what I have done and you can see it here if you'd like. It took me forever to decide what I wanted to do this year and then anything and everything got in the way of me finishing a piece but I kept coming back to it.

Better late than never... my January piece!

Hello everyone... I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I've finally finished my January BJP piece. Since I'm primarily a Crazy Quilter, you'll find that my piece is a bit different than most. I hope you'll take a look at my blog, Textiles in Time, where I have outlined my process. Thanks so much for your support! ;0)

February Piece Finished

Well, actually I finished it last week, but the weather's been nice and I've been mostly outside, so I didn't get it photographed and posted until today. At any rate, it's here on my blog—comments and/or criticisms are welcome, of course!

I'm still here...beading

Hello all,
Just dropping a note to say I am still here and working on February's project,
albeit slowly.  There have been some things going on here that called for my putting the beading aside for a bit.  Family health problems and then one of my Standard Poodles has
injured his knee and has surgery this morning...poor baby is hobbling around on three legs!  So sad.  Well, now, while I nurse him back to good health, I will sit and bead...it should make for an interesting piece!
Take care all!
Debi W.

PS
Robin, thank you for your comments on January's project...yes I was thinking about the mountains, about sitting by the rushing stream, about running (in earlier days!) through the fields...all while I listened to THE CLIMB and beaded.  I am very touched by so many people's comments and encouragement!
THANK YOU ALL!

The Struggle Within

I finished March's piece which, for whatever reason, has been an ongoing struggle for me. The 3 comments left on March 6 were so powerful and meant the world to me. If you get a chance, take a look here.
I have posted my Feb piece, take a look. Julie C

January Journal Page

I've finished my January Journal Page. I'm running behind but hope to catch up over the next few months. You can view my piece on my blog http://barbs-spiritsong.blogspot.com

I've been enjoying seeing everyones pieces.

March journal page

Okay, this really weird but I have managed to get my March journal page done already.  I am surprising myself.  This journal page has minimal beading.  I don't know if I would ever get anything finished if I did as much beading as the rest of you.
warm regards

Empty Spools

On Sunday morning I'm flying from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to San Francisco, California in order to attend an Empty Spools seminar with Thom Atkins. The subject is Quilting With Beads. I'm very excited about spending time learning and being with other beaders and quilters. Have any of you been to Empty Spools or are any of you planning to attend this session? I'd love to hear from you on my blog.

Better late than never..

I have posted my February project.  Please check it out here.  I would love to hear your comments.

Where to find FLICKR pictures :)

Unlike most of you, I don't have a blog (yet) so i post my picture on FLICKR. However, i get comments every time i do saying they don't know how to get there! On the LEFT most column of the BJP page, there are links to Blog #1, Blog #2, Blog #3, BJP wensite, and BJP FLICKR page. Simply click on the last one and it will take you to the BJP FLiCRK page. If you see something you like, you can maneuver to the artist's page and see everything they have posted. I set up a page last year and it was really easy. I really enjoy looking there because you can see all the posts at one time. Hope this helps. DOUBLE INFINITY

Hi everyone

It seems so long since I last blogged. There's alot going on that's taking up so much of my time. We're in the process of moving and it seems like forever. Yes I'm moving my beads and art supplies last.

I'm finished with the Toronto Bead Society's Bag of Beads piece and forgive me Robin but I think I want to alter the original size of my pieces. As my creativity continues to overflow, I may go back to the original size. This project has really opened my eyes to new and exciting ways to use my beads so it's really Rae's Beady Arts. Projects that are " From the heart, by the hands and just for you." Very soon I'll post my pieces on my blog. So in the meantime have fun and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Double Infinity - February's been done - see it now!

Considering I started the piece in January, I finished it some time ago, but just haven't gotten around to posting it. I am really pleased with the piece - my starting points were the small pink shells and the crystal slider. I also added a small butterfly charm so perhaps i will continue this each month. The pieces really seem to come to life when i put them on the button form (which was a LOT easier this month!). I haven't made much progress on my blog, so to view the piece, please visit the FLICRK site using the link on the left on the page.

I'm really glad I choose a smaller surface this year, as i have been going through my moms books and patterns and have been trying some basic beadweaving. Lots of stuffy noses this time of year - i can't wait until the garden starts to bloom. Ideas for MArch haven't happened yet - at least not in terms of my BJP, but i'll try and get the fabric out today.

AS always, love all the creativity this site overflows with :)
