A Lover of Beads

Hi, I'm new to the project but not new to beading. I've made lots of necklaces, six strands are my favorite type. I've also added beads to smocking and a piece of crazy quilting. My latest project was to bead the Alencon lace skirt of my daughter's wedding gown and bolero with over 2,000 Swarovski crystals. To improve my skills with quilting and beading, I am taking a seminar with Thom Atkins from March 7-12 in California. I'm looking forward to participating in this project to further explore beading. Gita, I hope you get to see Thom Atkins' spectacular quilt posted on Robin's blog. If you haven't seen it, here is the link to copy and paste:

To everyone, I'm fortunate to know Gita and have seen the work she does. It's spectacular! I can't wait to see her BJP pieces!

I took a class from Thom Atkins a few years ago. He's an excellent teacher. You will have a wonderful time and learn a whole lot.

Wow, Gita... small world! I shall tell Thom to give you special attention and that he really must bring his "Global Warming" quilt (that Barbara mentioned) for show'n'tell. Are you thinking of doing quilts for your BJP pieces? Do you have a blog? I'd love to see pictures of your daughter's wedding gown! I'm looking forward to more from you!!! Robin A.
