I'm very inspired to be a part of the Bead Journal Project and also to be in such pleasant company as the others posting on this blog. I'm an artist with a passion for beading and I'm looking forward to creating the journal pieces, learning all I can from the experience and from the other participants, and growing as a bead artist. This is the first time I have participated, and I would call myself an experienced bead artist but not an expert, always learning.
Above is the most ambitious bead embroidery project I have done, which was an entry in the 2008 Bra Dazzler art show here in Juneau Alaska. I absolutely loved creating it. The beaded imagery is 7 x 7.5 and has some collage elements. There are a few things I would do differently if I did it over again, but it was so satisfying to do it.
I'm looking forward to getting started and doing the work.
