Double Infinity - Aprils up - and then there were 4!
For those of you who haven't looked at the BJP FLICKR page where i post my pieces, here are the first 3 buttons from this year. SOrry it's so big (that's my wheatgrass wallpaper!) but i couldn't figure out how to cut off the background.
My 4th size 100 button for April was so much fun to make! My youngest (age 8) suggested I used 'red'. So i started looking through my beads and found a long string of red/orange/yellow strung bead soup i bought awhile back. (yep - i'm a collector!) It looked good, so i started looking for focal points. I found a delightful glass demi-button in yellow with a red circle/pizza slice lines on it. The i found some more loarger beads. Uummm....perhaps i can use those too i thought!
My 'journal' entry was a silver beads saying "do what you love". It has some brass hearts attached, but i took them off and put them aside for later...
The glass demi-button started out in the center, but i didn't like my 'slice' of seeds so i moved it, and went on. It was so much fun to do! The button was moved another time - just slightly to the right, but now it's just right!
I've been putting hanging charms on my pieces, but there are fringe dangles on this one instead.
Hope you like it - Oops - you gotta go the the FLICRK page (link is on the left on this blog).

April journal page
Hi All
I have my April bead journal page done. It was fun to create and I am happy with the way it turned out. I don't do nearly as much beading as you all do. It feels a little like I am cheating, I hope you don't mind. I really do intend to do more beading on my pages. Hopefully, when my life slows down in the summer I will feel like I have the time to do more beading.
warm regards

Finally Finished FEBRUARY! Yes, it's Done!
I have finally finished my February Bead Journal...
Whew! I have posted pictures and impressions on my BLOG.
I realize I am behind, but I AM beading, and that is what counts.
This is a wonderful experience that is helping me grow as an artist
with some bonuses of special contacts I've met along the way, not to
mention all the absolutely fantastic talented women! Just such a
special place, I thank you all for the opportunity and experience.

Invitation
Hi Everybody!
I've been gone 6 weeks (pre-vacation, 2 wks in AZ, post-vacation and then the coughing virus... now finally, I'm back! I'm also seriously a behinder.... Today is set aside for catching up on BJP blogs. Tomorrow I promise you, I'll get to work on my March BJP... that's a PROMISE!
Now, the invitation...
I replied to Sue that she's welcome to write about the BJP for her magazine. However, I have no control over the images posted by our members. I suggested to her that I would post her invitation on our blog and anybody who is interested can send her an image or two directly. So there you have it... I hope some of you will respond!
Pictures on our three BJP blogs ~ Just a reminder that you can now post pictures of your BJP pieces on our three BJP blogs! If you have a personal blog, it's really fun to post a teaser, an image that shows only a small detail of your piece, here and a link to a post on your own blog where we can see the pictures of your full piece.
I'm so impressed with all the BJP work I'm seeing this year. Everyone is stretching, getting out of the box, learning... It's amazing, beautiful and creative!!!!

from Dees
Dear all,
I have nominated each and every one of you for the Kreative Blogger award. It was given to me by one of us, Lisa Criswell from Indigo’s beads. If you want to take this further, please visit my blog at www.dees-wipworkinprogress.blogspot.com and read all about it. I thought it would be fun to share this joy with all of you who love beading and the BJP as much as I do. You all deserve it!

Reflection
When I started this project, I thought I would choose a theme at the beginning of each month with the idea that my theme word (like "dream") would become a kind of mantra for the month. However, things have been so busy that I end up working on my pieces when the month is over, so it's becoming more like a record of what the month was, rather than what I'd hoped it would be. I'm finding that it really is becoming a "bead journal" in that way.

Double Infinity - Here's March's button
Okay - i just typed this and hit some errant key and lost it in cyberspace - UGH!
Basically, i had said that this has been done for a few weeks, but that my time to post has been limited - and even further limited now by my computer mistakes~~~
Anyway, here is my 3rd button (size 100, about 2 1/2") for this year, by far my FAVORITE!!! I just love how calming the colors are and how the border seemed to evolve into a flower.
The starting point was the silver charm that says 'LAUGH' in it. It also has a blue topaz which is my youngests birthstone, so this one is for her. Boy deos she love to laugh so it's quite fitting.
Since i actually glued down the charm(yep - it just would not lay right with the curve) i thought i should add another charm since that is my 'thing' this year :)
I didn't want it to compete, so i choose a tiny silver oval that says "Made By Me".
Hope you enjoy viewing it. No blog, so you must go to the BJP FLICKR page which is linked on the left of this page or try this:
