January is Finished!
I've finished my January piece, 'Moon Circles.' I've posted a picture and explanation of what odds and ends I used on my blog, here. Comments are always welcome!
I love it. The full moon was brilliant.Excellent idea. i was driving on Saturday night with my son and a very dear friend and we were talking about the moon.My friend started to tell my 2 year old the story about "The Man In the Moon" and yesterday I found man in the moon beads at work. Absolutely amazing. So I'm gonna make my friend a pair of earrings and include one of the beads in a future BJP project. So Anita again excellent piece.
i love the face. and the use of the twisted bugles coming off as the rays of light are excellent...the twists let the light shine at different angles and really gives it a great effect. i notice the little flowers that i really like. the whole piece is, well, just sparkly! and that's a good thing! :)
What a sweet moon face she has! The whole thing is cool and serene. I especially like the mica pieces. It's so nice when everything comes together so well. I also appreciate your listing of all the components. I love knowing what pieces are made with. Holly B
Your piece is exquisite, I especially love the long bugle "rays" going out from the face cab. The foundation is of interest to me as I'm trying to decide what I like best. I've found that some I've used are not thick or stable enough. Backing with felt is a great idea too, I will try that. Beautiful piece!
A step by step tutorial on how to set up your own blog can be found here.
About the Bead Journal Project
The brain child of Robin Atkins, the first Bead Journal Project, which began in June of 2007, included 241 women and 1 man who were dedicated and committed to creating 12 bead journal pages, one per month, for a year.
The BJP is all about visual journaling using any media and techniques, providing it includes some beading. We are free to structure our bead journal pages any way we want, as long as all 12 are the same size.
The current years' Bead Journal Project runs from September, 2008 through August, 2009. This blog is a means by which we may support each other in process, techniques and design. Participants (many with links to their personal blogs or websites) are listed below.
Due to the limitations of blogger.com which places a limit of 100 authors per blog, there are three Bead Journal Project blogs this year. Be sure and visit all of them.

Love this! It sure looks larger than it is. Great start to the year.
Thank you all so much! I knew I'd enjoy being part of the BJP!
