I'm finished....With January...

I'm thrilled to share that I have completed my January piece and it is up on my blog. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. I'm also ready to move in a different direction.

Yes I am more than a little behind but I feel good. I am going to work on some pins while I ponder my direction for February, even as February is slipping away.

Finally! January Beading Project is Finished!

Ok, I have finally finished the beading part of my January Journal.
I am working on an idea for a trim around the piece, but it isn't
done yet.  I have switched my mind as to how the twelve journals
will be put together, although I still want them all together when
viewed, and the viewer can feel the texture in each piece as they
are looking at them...as if with a photo album.  I am confident the
answer will come to me in time...
I just hope it's by the end of this year!! :-)

February Bead Journal finished

is finished and up on my blog! Just click on my name on the list - sorry I forgot to sign my last post - trouble with tribbles - I am in some pain but doing ok. Sleeping alot but the pain pills do that to me. Anyway, I will be going there to post pics in just a few minutes.

Troubles with tribbles

So it seems I have a huge kidney stone disrupting my life and I will be undergoing lithotripsy tomorrow early - way too early for my taste, since we have a long drive before we get there. So, it also means I won't be working, probably not at all for awhile, maybe not at all permanently. We shall see. I am trying to hope for the best, but having had this procedure before with no luck, I'm probably looking at more stuff over the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, the February pocket is almost finished. I may get it posted today even...

My january peace is finished!

Still working on January's piece!!

Well...I guess I was too ambitious for the first month out of the gate.
I am still working on January.  I have posted a couple pictures on my BLOG to show my progress.  I am enjoying myself, but need to finish this piece to prevent feeling pressured  ;-(, don't want that, right?
So...I will get back to work, just wanted to touch base with everyone.
I am so stoked by all the talent and variety in people's works...what fun this project is!

I am so pleased that I have my project done so early in the month!  It's not likely to happen again though.  I'm pleased with the way it turned out.  I am learning to NOT compare my work to the other talented beaders here.  I am enjoying the process and learning - that's what is important.

I may have 2 more months to finish from last year, but I'm still on track for this year! I just blogged about my January piece, here, which actually got done in January, hurrah!

Bead Journal Wednesday

I've posted the progress on my February piece on my blog. I think I may be done with it unless some last little finishing detail strikes me. I'm trying to stay ahead of the game as I have an art competition coming up and then we have out of town company coming for a week. Oh, I am enjoying BJP. Thank you Robin, and than all of you for your wonderful comments; they sustain me.

Okay - i am trying to set up a blog (since it seems everyone else has been successful at it) and was trying to put the BJP logo ony my page, but SOMEHOW i made it DISSAPPEAR from all 3 BJP blogs - UGH!!! Any suggestions????

I'm done with January too!

One down, eleven to go! It was really nice to have a project to do for no other reason than for the fun of it. So many to-do lists and things to do for other people. But this was just for myself! I created a lace knitted pentagon of my own design. The tiny silver beads were pre-strung onto the cotton thread. See the results on my blog! Now on to February....
